What do you do with what you have been given?
You have walked the earth. You have learned to listen, to offer, to grieve, to read the signs.
The FireKeeper year is where the path shifts from personal practice to service. From receiving to offering. From walking to tending. You will learn what it means to hold a fire for others, and what it costs the one who holds it.
The circle is small. Enrollment closes once it begins. If you have completed EarthWalker and feel the call to serve, this is where that call becomes a vocation.
The curriculum
What you will learn
Twelve months of live teaching, practice, supervised client work and ongoing mentorship, building on everything learned in EarthWalker.
Advanced Shamanic Healing
Soul retrieval, cord cutting, energy clearing, extraction work. Not techniques to collect. Responsibilities to carry, learned through practice, supervised client work and your own ongoing healing.
Ceremony Leadership
How to hold and lead ceremony, not perform it. Creating sacred space, reading a room, holding what arises when people open to the unseen. This is where the fire becomes yours to tend, or doesn't.
Shamanic Tools and Practice
Drums, rattles and other traditional instruments as extensions of your intent. Not props. Partners in the work.
Plant Dieta and Vision Quests
Guided plant medicine work and extended solo time in nature. Deep, quiet, supervised. Relationships to tend, and they will change you in ways you cannot predict.
Client Work and Community Service
Supervised practice with real people. Assessing energy fields, listening with your whole body, knowing when to act and when to wait. Case studies are part of your certification. Service is the point.
Land Guardianship and Earth Service
The shamanic path exists on the earth, for the earth. What it means to be a guardian of the land you live on, and how to weave ecological stewardship into your practice and your life.
Building a Sustainable Practice
Bringing this work into the world without losing your soul to the marketplace. Honest pricing, clean offers, a practice built on reciprocity, not extraction. An introduction to the principles of Sacred Business Mastery.
What the year includes
Twelve months in the circle
- Twelve months of live advanced teaching with Angell Deer (monthly sessions of 2 to 3 hours, with replays)
- Shamanic Reiki certification (Level 1, Level 2 and Master Level) with attunements and 3 teaching manuals
- Supervised client work and case study guidance
- Ongoing mentorship and weekly support all year
- A private community circle with your fellow FireKeepers, plus the wider Sacred Paths alumni community
- Plant dieta and vision quest experiences
- Practice assignments, ceremony work and readings between sessions
- Lifetime access to all recorded class sessions
- A certificate of completion once all requirements, including case studies, are met

$3,950
in one payment, or $350/month for 12 months

Angell Deer
I raised forty million dollars in the corporate world. Then I walked away from every cent of it. I am a trained veterinarian. I have spoken at Harvard Business School and sat in ceremony with Andean elders at Lake Titicaca. I stewarded a sanctuary in the Catskills for twenty years, then began again on an old farm in France at midlife, with a young family.
For over twenty years I have studied and practiced within Andean Cosmology and Norse Shamanism, working closely with indigenous teachers, elders and wisdom keepers. The land at La Ferme du Cerf Bleu is not a backdrop to this teaching. It is a teacher in its own right.
I do not create dependency. I create sovereignty. My students do not follow me. They find their own path.

Frequently asked
Do I need to have completed EarthWalker?
EarthWalker completion, or equivalent foundational experience, is required. If you have studied with other teachers or schools, you can apply and we will assess your readiness through conversation.
I'm already a Reiki practitioner. Will this still be valuable?
Yes. The Shamanic Reiki certification includes new attunements at all three levels and teaches you how to integrate shamanic practice with Reiki, which will deepen your existing work. And FireKeeper is much more than Reiki: the advanced shamanic healing, ceremony leadership, plant dieta and client work take you into territory Reiki alone does not cover.
I'm mainly interested in personal healing. Is this the right training?
FireKeeper is oriented toward service and practice. If your focus is personal healing and growth, EarthWalker or one of our other programs may be a better fit. That said, all practitioner training is built on your own ongoing healing. The two are not separate.
How much time does it require?
The core commitment is the monthly live session (2 to 3 hours), plus practice work, client sessions later in the year, and readings between sessions. It is designed for people with full lives. All sessions are recorded and available 24/7.
What certification do I receive?
Once all class requirements are complete and your case studies are submitted, you receive certification as a Sacred Paths Shamanic Reiki Practitioner and a Certificate of Completion for the FireKeeper year. Certification can take up to six months after the teaching year ends, depending on your case study progress.
What happens after FireKeeper?
For graduates who are called to continue, Angell offers advanced mentorship by personal invitation. Not a public program. An apprenticeship in the old sense. When you are ready, you will be invited.
What is the refund policy?
Once the circle begins, you are committed for the full year. If you leave the program, you keep access to all sessions and materials received, but the full tuition remains due. Book a discovery call before applying to make sure this is the right step.
